Sample Wedding Music
Your wedding day is special and we have been periodically asked for some musical suggestions The following are just a few of the more commonly used pieces of wedding music, listed by name and composer. You can find brief excerpts of these and other classical pieces online. You will want to check with your musicians or DJ. All of these pieces are available on CD and can be downloaded from various sources.
Couples often choose different piece of music for members of the bridal party and bride but this is not necessary. Other places for music in the ceremony include short pieces between the readings to allow readers to gracefully enter and leave, during the Unity Candle ceremony, Roses to Parents and recessional music. You should consider the length of the piece chosen in relation to the time spent during any concurrent action. Choosing the Ave Maria during the Unity Candle ceremony will result in "dead time" as the piece lasts nearly 5 minutes for a 1 minute ceremony. Feel free to discuss this matter with the priest who is officiating at your ceremony.
